API Updates

1. Nano Banana 2 series

   • nano-banana-2-lite: size and resolution configuration are now supported (1K / 2K / 4K).
   • nano-banana-2-pro (direct official channel): on top of size configuration, a 4K resolution option is now available.
   • Image input and image output are metered separately, and resolutions form separate price tiers; the pricing page is the source of truth for current rates.

2. New Veo 3.1 Fast capabilities

   • Multi-image reference: up to 3 reference images, at no change in price.
   • Video extend: extend a video from a prompt plus a previously generated video ID, via model veo3.1-fast-extend, priced the same as veo3.1-fast.

Update July 3, 2026: Nano Banana 2 Lite now refers to Google's Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite Image route on EvoLink. Earlier launch wording should be treated as historical context, not the current model status.

1. Two versions

   • gemini-3-pro-image-preview: the official channel, more stable and controllable, for demanding commercial work.
   • nano-banana-2-lite: the Google Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite Image route, aimed at cost-effective 1K image generation.
2. Model naming

   • To protect quality, gemini-3-pro-image-preview points at the official version by default.
   • To switch to Lite, change the model name to nano-banana-2-lite — usually a one-minute change.
3. What comes next

   • Pro will progressively gain multi-image and 4K capabilities.
   • Lite is onboarding more channels to improve capability and stability.
